At Mia, Myo, & Speech, LLC, we specialize in identifying and treating conditions like malocclusions, tongue thrust, sleep disordered breathing, tethered oral tissues, jaw pain caused by oral habits, and mouth breathing.

I’m from Cleveland, MS and attended Delta State University in Cleveland for my BS in Speech Pathology.
Obtained my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA.
Worked in FL and NC after graduate school in which I moved closer to home and settled in Memphis, TN.
I worked as an SLP for 20 years in which I was introduced to Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. I took a deep dive and fell in love with the program and became certified in OMT in 2001. I continue to grow and learn daily about how I can help my patients. I opened my own practice (Mia, Myo & Speech, LLC) in 2001. I
I am one of the few trained and certified to treat Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and I am licensed in MS, TN and KY.
In my space of Myofunctional Therapy, I want to find the root cause given the symptoms that each patients developes. If there are issues with chewing, sucking, swallowing, nursing, snoring, breathing, difficulty in oral development, tongue thrust and more, I dig deep and find the “WHY” is my patient having theses issues and then develope a plan of care and make recommendations as needed.
Mia lives in Olive Branch, MS with her husband Brad and pet tortoise Lil’ Bogie. She often works alongside Brad at his family owned restarunt, Bogie’s Deli on Brookhaven Circle in Memphis.
